| Steamtown National Historic Site On the Old D&H |

| The Carbondale line, formerly the DL Penn Division Main, stretches some 19 miles from Scranton to Carbondale. About a dozen customers keep this line viable and in daily use. The occasional Steamtown Excursion will venture along this line from Scranton using "Strawberry Hill", a re-activated connector between the DL&W Yard and the D&H Main. Prior to that, any excursion bound for Carbondale would need to traverse the CP Mainline several miles south through Taylor to Carbon Junction to reach the former Penn Division. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
