The "railfan" overlook in Scranton's Nay Aug Park continues to be a popular location to watch DL trains as they return to Scranton after a day's work.  7/09 Steamtown's CP 2317 continues to operate as power on short excursions in the City of Scranton, as seen her at Bridge 60 in Scranton.  5/09
Steamtown isn't the only operator of steam locomotives in Northeast PA.  About an hour south of Scranton, the Pioneer Tunnel operates the only anthracite coal fired steam locomotive in America, near Ashalnd, PA, 8/08 In 2008 the Reading & Northen returned Steam Locomotive 425 to service.  She is seen here leading an excursion near Falls, PA. 5/08

Two New York State transplants, DLWR 1804 and MHWA 2453 are in regular service on DL trains.  Here the attractive duo leads a local through South Scranton.  8/09 DL 4118 was returned to service in 2008 after recieving a new prime mover.  6/09
Scranton is now the only place where one can view three RS3's operating together.  Here they are the former D&H units, on the former D&H main passing under Bridge 60 in Scranton.  8/09 The DL has returned a former PRR C-425 to service.  It is seen here on a special move over the Reading & Northern at Pittston, PA.  EdK Photo.
